You may or may not know much about who I am as the person behind the name. So, let me take a few moments to share with you some of who I am.

For those of you who do not know, I am currently 22 years old and just finished my first year of law school. I recently purchased a house last fall and became engaged earlier this year to a wonderful woman. Along with both have come numerous adventures and expenses.

Since the end of 2007, when I first opened FAZ to the public, I have spent a large portion of my free time moderating and overseeing the day to day operation of the site. I have quietly sat back and made sure that the services that are provided here have remained available to you free of charge despite how server intensive art sites can be. Further, I have worked hard to make sure that the site has been well moderated and have endeavored to bring as many improvements as possible for use by the public.

I have generally attempted to remain silent on the need to donations for this site, but since it was first opened this site has received very limited donations from users despite the large amount of activity that occurs here. While I greatly appreciate those who have taken the time to show their appreciation for this site, I would like to encourage as many of you as possible to now support the site.

While we all feel the effects of this horrible economy, keep in mind that FAZ is a project that typically costs me more in time, energy, and money than it pays back. As my life continues to change and I move towards building a family, my financial resources will be reallocated. While FAZ is not currently in jeopardy, you providing a spare dollar whenever you have it to the continued development of the site will go a long way to making sure that this site is never in jeopardy.

If you are not aware, Furcadia was apparently hacked today and characters information including passwords and e-mail address may have been compromised. At this time, I do not advise you to change your Furcadia password. However, if you are alt appeared in the list that was posted in the news channel, you should update it for your safety.

However, if you use the same or similar password for any other services you are advised to change it immediately.

I will inform you if I hear anything further.

You are further advised to NOT attempt to log into any characters that may have been posted in game. If you do you will suffer severe consequences from DEP. Further, attempting to sell those alts on FAM will result in your immediate suspension.

The Furcadian Flight Guild is hosting a Life Kitterwing Raffle. The proceeds from this event will go towards other events in Furcadia. On the Raffle deadline date, FF will be having a Super Spectacular Winter Extravaganza. If you'd like to enter in the raffle or join in on our huge Winter event, please read the following details.

The Life Kitterwing raffle will start on Friday, September 18th.. There will be an entry charge of one golden dragonscale per raffle ticket. Cheap, right? =P

If you'd like to enter, please gift your scales to FurcadianFlightEvents using the format below, and only the format below (leave off the <>'s). If you use a different format, we will not know who the scales belonged to:

For example, if Winged Potato wanted to enter the raffle and buy two tickets, they'd type:

Thank you for sticking to that format. It makes this event a lot easier for us. I'd like to note that if you do not use that format and we don't know who the scales belong to, we can't enter you in the raffle unless you show proof that you gifted the anonymous scales.

After you gift your scales, whisper Renic. She will check the number of tickets you purchased and assign you an equal amount of numbers. If she's not on, she'll check in with you when she logs on. There is no need for you to remember these numbers, as they will be saved to a .txt containing information for the raffle.

On the raffle deadline date, there will be a dice-roll. Everyone who entered the raffle will be whispered and asked if they'd like to attend. The result of the dice-roll will be screen shotted and posted on the forums for all to see.

The raffle deadline date is Monday, December 21st, at 6:00 PM FST. Entries to the raffle will not be accepted after this time.

Also on the raffle deadline date, The Furcadian Flight will be having a huge event known as the Super Spectacular Winter Extravaganza.

The Extravaganza event will include the Life Kitterwing raffle dice-roll, a trivia contest, a few games of tag, a large, booby-trapped maze, a 'Find The Santa Hat' game, and maybe even -more- contests!

There will be small prizes for the contests, but this is mostly just for fun! If you'd like more information on FF's Super Spectacular Winter Extravaganza, please whisper Renic.
