What could this possibly be about?

• FAZ is finally getting it's own dream and we want help getting it ported. Instead of holding a regular art contest we thought we'd do things a little differently.
• There will be no actual judging for this event. We will raffle our prizes away and the port you turn in is what will get you your raffle number.

What are we looking for?
We are looking for remappable portraits that will be used in the FAZ dream. Please keep the content of the portraits family friendly and modest clothing would be appreciated.

You MUST include "Do you FAZ?" on the port somewhere as the dream insignia. For an easy to use uniform version of this, you can download a ready to use .fox file here.

Dates:

• Contest starts: August 23, 2008
• Contest ends: October 4, 2008
• Expected Date For the dream to go up: October 11, 2008

Prizes: More information will be added as time goes on.

• GD - anything from 5gd to 20gd
• Portrait spaces - anything from 1 to 3 portspaces
• Expiring digos
• Life digos
• life seasonal digos

Rules:

• Download this file or write it out yourself - however you choose to do it you MUST include "Do you FAZ?" in your portrait, to signify the port belongs to the FAZ dream.
• All art work turned in will immediately be placed into the patch. By signing up for this raffle you are agreeing to this. If you do not want us to use your art work in the dream then do not sign up. Please remember to add that you agree to our rules in your post when you sign up. Your post will be ignored otherwise.
• You may sign up for the raffle as many times as you'd like. You may only sign up for one species/gender at a time though.
  
  Ex: I want to do the female canine and the female kiwi. I would have to make two posts. One saying that I would like the female canine and another post to claim the spot for the kiwi.
• A FAZ staff member must approve your request before you are officially entered into the raffle. You will be added to the list below and a PM will be sent to you either saying you are approved or declined. If you are declined you will be informed as to why.
• All work submitted under your name alone must be your own work.
• These rules are able to be changed and updated at any time, and notification will be posted if so.
• Once the species-gender spot is filled no one else can claim it.
• If you dont finish within a week of claiming the species-gender, you get 24 hours to reclaim it or the slot is opened for anyone to claim. In order to reclaim the slot, you must have some progress work to show.
• You must wait until someone else has claimed a species-gender before you can claim another one, and you may only claim one at a time in your post.
• At this time, you may only have up to FOUR slots claimed at a time, without having any art turned in. If you have four slots, and you want more, you must turn in all four before attempting to claim another slot.
• Because a staff member will need to approve you to enter, you MUST have remapping PORTRAIT ART samples in your FAZ Gallery. If we go to your gallery, and there is nothing for us to judge by, then you will be denied.

How to enter:

• Step 1: Make a post in this thread that agrees to the rules and states what species and which gender of that species you'd like to do.
• Step 2: Wait for a FAZ staff member to message you approving your request.
• Step 3: Email the port to FAZDream@gmail.com. Be sure to include your FAZ username in the subject and make sure you've informed one of us that it's been sent.
• Step 4: You will be given your raffle number after you've contacted one of us that the port has been turned in, and a staff member has verified the claim.
• Step 5: We will roll dice and hand out prizes the night of opening the FAZ dream.

I have an incredibly awesome announcement for you all tonight! Lothus Marque of Furcadia has just released a very handy tool for the aspiring artist.

It is called Prismaticator, a Portrait Preview Generator~! Simply download the program, load your portrait into it, and input a series of color codes (or generate random ones!) and viola! You have yourself a nicely laid out preview of your for portrait art, ready to be saved and loaded into your gallery!


Here is a little preview of what it looks like..


*Currently, you must open your port in FSHEd and EXPORT IT as a BMP file before hand.*

First, you press "Load Port". Then, pressing all the "R" buttons will generate random color codes in the boxes to the left. Pressing "L" will give you the option to Load a character .ini file. Then you press ""Process" and the image appears above the data as seen in the sample picture here! You can also choose to remap the large preview, by going to Options > Remap Large Preview > And choosing which color code you would like the large one to load in. And! You can save time and generate random color codes in ALL of the boxes by going to Tools > Random Colors > All. When you are satisfied, simply click "Save Preview" and save your image in .JPG or .BMP format! Cool, huh? Be sure to check out the included ReadMe.txt for some extra tips!
