Price this please?
«: April 04, 2010, 10:34:19 PM»
A little off because my tablet is broken and I did this with a mouse. Anyway, thinking about taking commissions for things like this. However, I'm not sure how much to ask for them. Suggestions please?

Yeah I was looking at that on the shoulder and the body after I finished it. Okay, thanks.

5GD. I like pillow shading. :(

I kind of like it too. I don't really draw in a realistic style anyway.

realistic style and having any clue how lighting works are not mutually exclusive, you know.

Never intended to make a connection between the two.

About 3 GD. I might pay more if it weren't shaded at all, though. >_>

I don't know what this animal is, it's obviously at least half fantasy creature. Regardless I wouldn't pay more than 3 GD. Aside form the pillow shading that everyone has pointed out there's also the complete lack of proper anatomy. Unless this creature type has front legs that have absolutely no joints of any kind this position is very unnatural, even if you were to claim it's an odd mid run.

Watch out for those shoulder by the way. People seem to believe that they always look like circles with legs coming out of them, don't fall into that. Also, elbows, those little bumps opposite the shoulders, they move too.

The best way to scare yourself out of drawing static shoulders and elbows is to visualize your creature actually walking around with stiff joints. think of it, unable to move any joints other than to bend the leg up and then put it straight down. That image will crepe you out with how ugly it is so that you start weening off of making static shoulders and elbows.
