animated portraits/program question.

i'd like to do an animated portrait not in the FOX editor, whats a good program to use?

I personally use Photoshop CS4.  The way it handles animating is very easy and painless - it just cycles through layers, so you can see what you've drawn move right in front of you without having to save as like a .gif first.  I actually posted some stuff I animated in PS a while ago here if you want to see examples of results you can get with it.  Of course how the animation itself comes out depends on how everything's drawn, but PS makes it a heck of a lot easier to do so. ^^;

yeaaaah i can't afford that. that port is great for your first animated though!!
