In fact I know the person who created the top portrait and her name was Duskwing. As for the bottom image, I'm not quite sure, but the name Nikai comes to mind. (EDIT: I was informed that Nikai is not the artist)

You should really have the permission of the artist before selling THEIR hard work.

If they bought the portraits and ended up not using them, it's really not required unless they had some sort of commission guideline asking that you ask permission first. However, it does not mean that it is not a polite thing to do, and is highly recommended, especially if you don't note that you bought them and now own them (which you didn't say).
