Pricing Aid?
«: February 27, 2012, 09:05:36 PM»
I've been looking around and trying to gain ideas for pricing, but I'm always far too afraid that I'll charge too much.  I'm not nearly good enough in my opinion to charge more than ten, but hell, maybe I can get a few opinions and ideas.

i'm not really good at pricing others' work because i think it really depends on both skill and the amount of time your put into each piece. however, one thing i noticed is that your shading looks like it's done just by the airbrush tool. if used correctly, this can potentially provide a certain amount of depth in your shading. however, in your work it very often makes your characters have overly curved planes and look pillowy (such as http://foedus.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d4o33jv and http://foedus.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d4myuuf). don't be afraid to use harder edges and stray from keeping all your shadows, midtones, and highlights a gradient.
