agreed.

though these are nice, there are some that i wouldnt be satisfied paying what prices are stated for them

this suggestion might have a few planning flaws with it, but i'd say..

give your commissioners a loose, general idea of what they would be paying. (sketches, 1-3 gd, traditional 5-8, digital 8-10, best 10-15)
then, when you're done (or done with the sketching/planning process), decide what you think would be the best, most suitable price for the piece. if youre still unsure by that stage, go a bit further and, maybe when you're done with it completely, think of a price, run the price by the comissioner, and go from there.
