HELP! Price suggestions?
«: January 16, 2008, 08:55:29 AM»
Alrighty, I opened up commissions again and just slapped a random pricetag of $15 on a waist-up female, flatly colored drawing.

At this point I am only very curious how much people'd be willing to give for my art. Here are some examples (none are for use).

Mira © Mira (uncolored, but it works as a sample)

Lady Arsenic © Lady Arsenic (uncolored, but it works as a sample)

Lady Arsenic © Lady Arsenic (first $15 commish)

UPDATE! Okay! I've added two more sketch examples I drew today. But also, I turned the first drawing into a portrait and I got a lot of feedback on how much people liked it. My question is, if I were to sell these kind of portraits, how much should I ask for them? They're non-remap obviously and rainbow marked.

Thanks. ^^ I was think $10 for the port, and an additional $5 if they want the full picture with colors.

Also replaced the two sketches with the lineart. :3

For something like the very sop smaple I would say 8-10GD would be fair. For something like the outlines with no color, 5-7GD. For a colored half body, I would say 10-15GD depending on the char.

After talking to some other people, I've decided to price non-remaps at $15 (since I'll draw a fully colored headshot first, which they will receive as well as the resized non-remap).

Sketches $5.

Lineart would be $10-$15.

For the detailed CG drawings I'd ask between $20-$25 (with proper background).

I don't think people realize how much effort goes into lineart and coloring. :) I'm a fast drawer in general, but I can easily spend 1-2 hours on lineart and 5 hours on a full colored CG.

Thanks for the input, it helped. :)
