you might want to streach the body a bit, it looks squished and awkward

also, ~if~ youre just starting on ferals, starting with a fullbody might not be a good idea--its a lot of anatomy to take care of at once

Ooh yeah I see what you mean by awkward and squishy.
Speaking on full body, I actually do a lot better on full-body art on ferals. But once I resize to 95x95 it becomes awkward for me to draw :x

What kind of canine is it? That may help.

Depending on the kind of canine you might be able to look up some pictures of the dogs and check out how their anatomy is and study from the way they are. Refs and pics help when you're in a bind.

try focusing more on the character and dont leave as much empty space? it'll give you a bit more room to get the anatomy a tad more.. clearer, i think would be the word?

Actually I'm trying to get it to look like a husky, but it's looking more like a wolf for me :x

What do you mean by the empty space? Fill it more o-o? If so, that could help me. I sometimes paranoid because the box i'm working on is too small ;-;'

well, photoshop's preloaded basic brushes should be pretty versatile..
in your case, you're probably best off using a hard brush.

a lot of brush prefs. vary from artist to artist.
so what might help is what you're using the brush for.
like are you lining or shading, etc?
