I hardly have a critique. All in all, I just love every last drop of your art-stampede! xD

My favorite has to be the Hathor Honeyhoof. I dunno why...it just calls to me!

Ones like that, with no background and the smooth coloring, I'd say would go at minimum for 10gd. I would personally pay between 10-15 for something like that. I also really like "Fero".

You have an awesome toon-ish style. I just love it! You'll have to forgive me if I play around with the toon-area now because you've kind of inspired me. o_o

The ports could use some work. Shading, lighting, posture, etc. On one of them the teeth appear as if they're going in every which direction x3 I like the shading in the one next to the girl, it's very smooth! Keep it up, I see a loooot of potential with your feral ports!

If you need more, I can always do a quote-'n-comment sort of post to really pick apart details, but I'm trying not to go overboard in this post xD

As much as I despise anything that even vaguely reminds me of Sonic, your facial drawings are done rather well. They're expressive and you seem to have a decent three dimensional understanding of what you're doing with it, so I really can't complain from a technical standpoint. This is just based on what you've shown, anyway -- I do notice a lack of vertical angles (you tilt the faces down sometimes, but never up and never that far down) and anything rotated further past the profile mark. You may want to practice more with dynamic angles in order to concrete that three dimensional understanding.

Your bodies could use some anatomical study. Nothing particularly jumps out as wrong to me in your more SD pieces, but it really shows in the less distorted ones -- namely your drawing of Alythess. It demonstrates very little intuitive understanding of muscle and bone structure and her armpit looks like a big gaping vagina. Anatomical study will help you not only in your realistic work, but your cartoon pieces as well. This goes for feral anatomy, too; I can't say I'm an expert on this subject, but some parts strike me as a little off.

In the billion images you posted, only two have backgrounds -- and I think one of them is a WoW screenshot -- and the one that does involve characters actually interacting with it is incredibly simplistic and seems to use no linear perspective construction. Drawing backgrounds only sucks until you actually learn how to do them correctly, and then they're just as easy and fun as anything else you can draw. I'd recommend reading this book on perspective; even when you don't feel like doing a background, a perspective grid can be endlessly useful for trying out dynamic poses (or even making your boring sameolds look more correct).

I'd say the coloring and rendering are the weakest links in your work. There's more to color than raising or lowering the brightness slider -- color is tinged by according to the color of the light source. If you have, say, a yellow light source, the points closest to the light source (highlights) will become yellower and yellower, and the points furthest from the light source (shadows) will be tinged by a color complement to the light source -- in this case, purple. Color identity and saturation is strongest towards the core of the object, but unless it is under a pure white light with absolutely no fill/reflected light, nothing will have 100% color identity in any part of the image (read: never, ever use 0% saturation greys, whites or blacks). The reason why the shadow of snow (or anything else under natural sunlight) appears blue instead of grey is because the light of the sky serves as a secondary light source that reflects off everything and illuminates the shadows.

Speaking of reflective light, I see absolutely none of it in any of your pieces. Reflected light is the most important element to defining form that everyone forgets, and without it you will never be able to lay convincingly rendered shadows. I'd suggest you read these links for information on lighting and color theory.

As always, there are many more links that will help you out in the book recommendation section in my signature.

p.s. Sebbi, is there anything you don't love to death? Geez ::) You're like the ice cream man, but instead of ice cream you hand out asspats

Yeah, I generally don't draw backgrounds with my pictures because I'm trying to push out as many commissions as I can for my adult followers on FurAffinity. Recently though I've been adding them, can't post em here cause it's pr0n. :P

Also, I can't do all since I'm doing this right before work.

Overall, quite impressive. I do like this first one a lot! The arm is a bit beefy, but if she's just a muscular gal, it's not something I have not seen before. The hand also is quite large, but if I'm not mistaken that is part of the anatomy in the Sonic-esque inspired art? The coloring is pretty good for soft-coloring (or at least that is what I call it when you use few and faint colors (and it's totally made up)).
The second one is also very nice. I am not sure what the left leg (facing me) is doing toward the shin area. If we were to straighten that leg out then, compared to your other art, it'd be a huuuuge thigh and a weeeeeenie shin/calf area. I think if you elongated it a little more not only would it seem more in proportion, but it'd also help the foot not seem so broken and disjointed due to the odd length differences. I must say that I adore the pose and the sideways face looks great! The bum needs to be just a little higher on the thigh. Otherwise, lovely!

Since there is such thing as a positive critique, I'm going to apply it to this- love it! It screams the sonic-esque style to near perfection. This is a personal flavor of mine, but anytime one uses fire I am a huge fan of highlights wherever that source of light hits. I think that it would have made picture and emotion that much more dramatic. HOWEVER...if you don't like that sort of thing, then no worries! Again, it's personal taste x3

I am generally major phail at ferals, but there is at least one thing that does stick out to me almost immediately: the bottom teeth. They appear as if they're almost lying flat. Teeth, for me, have been notoriously difficult to place, but your placement seems great, it's just the angle is off. The same goes with those ports I have mentioned. Tilt them up and in a little more and I think you'll be set. ^^

CUTE. *grabbyhands* The left (her left) elbow sticks out a smidgen too far and makes the joint appear bulbous. Elongating the upper portion of the arm and trimming the extension of elbow fur just a little ought to set it. *squints* Unless what I am mistaking for the curve of the upper arm is just a sketch line? If so, the just shave down the part where the elbow begins to bell at the top and I believe that'll do ya.

Quote
The coloring on this is pretty good! I think a little more detail in the metal would pop vs. two shades. ^^

Overall I think, again, your style is great. And again...I'm finding myself wanting to doodle toons, LOL. I enjoy the way you do bovines like Honeyhoof and you really do have adorable ferals.

I love the expressions so much. Usually you see alot of art with emotionaless faces. If it wasnt for the fact I'm not a sonic-type style fan, I'd totally commission you :>

Colors are looking better, but your value ranges are still really weak. Try desaturating your images to be sure you're getting a healthy value range:

Some colors will seem brighter or darker because of their hue or saturation (a yellow hue appears lighter than a purple hue, and low saturation appears lighter than high saturation, even if their values are the same), but if the actual local value of the color does not support that, the color will not be what you're going for and the piece will look weak and flat. In a direct example, you used the same local value range on the blue fur as you did with the pale fur, which is bad.

This page talks about local values, and although it uses pencil, it can be applied to digital as well:

Make sure your highlights are also lighter in value in addition to being of a "lighter looking" hue and saturation.

New picture. With a story behind it. O.o

Time to shed some light upon one of the antagonists of my adult comic.

The Grim...the true monster, is the eerie, yet glamorous diamond-shaped jade.

Created by Mammoth Mogul thousands of years ago to serve him during his years of rule over Mobius as a superior lord. The monster was never given a name, but ancient echidna tablets have dubbed her as "The Grim", "It-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named", or "Jewel of Lost Souls". The Grim, to a certain small degree, possesses the same abilities as Mogul.

Described as a female entity, though, The Grim doesn't have a body of her own. In fact, she is virtually powerless unless she possesses a host. Thus, she must heavily rely on her telepathy and charisma to lure upon an unsuspecting victim, and have them plant her upon their forehead.

This will allow the Grim to attach herself to her victim via the nervous system, and then steadily, to each and every other system of the body. During the course of this process, the Grim learns everything about the individual, through old memories and dreams that have been suppressed; By invading their minds, she can twist her victim's take on reality, consequently, driving them to madness...often death.

Not only does the Grim have her own powers, but when she successfully gains control of her victims, she acquires their abilites as well, for as long as she remains hold upon them; Often manisfesting their anger/hatred/fears/lust/greed/etc into a grotesque, physical form( In this case in the comic, Kayla is transformed into a lycanthropic beast with pyrokinetic powers. So, something closer to a Hellhound with extreme feral and bloodthirsty tendencies. ).

Once the Grim has seized control, it's almost impossible to remove her from her host. To forcibly rip her out would mean almost certain death for the host. Only positive energies of purity and light can safely remove the parasitic gem without killing the host.

Whether she can be totally destroyed or not remains a mystery.

The Grim's loyalty to her master is immensely strong, and never questions his orders. To her, his word is law. One of the reasons may be is that she hopes that he could provide her with a host body able to sustain her chaotic powers.
